So I have two J frames and thinking about laser grips.

One is the Crimson Trace LG-405. The other is the LMS-JMX-NH from Laser Max.

The latter is cheaper. The former seems to have a little more recoil control. The Lasermax is ambidexterous. How is the Crimson trace for left handers as the gun will be used by such.

Thoughts and experiences

Thanks.
:)

I just ordered the new 105 for my 642 from CT. They look like "old school" T grips...less expensive as the 405 you mentioned. I do not see why it would matter if you were left/right handed...once the laser is adjusted to your POA it should work just fine.

have 405s on my 442 no problem left handed look at my target on weak hand challange

I have 2 sets of CTC's for my J frames and they are completely ambi. No issues for this lefty.

Pretty good.:)

I'm right handed but like to do some left hand shooting to keep in practice.
I try to shoot a couple times a week using the CT laser.

Generally I'm faster and more accurate when using the CT equipped J Frame than I am shooting with iron sights.

10 yards. Low light. Weak hand shooting from the hip. 2 inch J Frame.

Thanks.:)

Like all forms of shooting, using the laser requires practice to to use it accurately and fast.
Accuracy is easy but speed and accuracy is difficult.

I'm trying to get below a second per shot and still keep the hits within a 3-4 inch circle.
No luck so far, but that's OK, it's fun practicing.:)

GEM,
and just blasting away with the CT equipped 2 inch J Frame is is fun and educational.:D
Practice an much as you can.

25 yards. Standing two hands, single action. Fast shooting.
Dark, but enough light to identify the target.

I've got the overmolded CT grips on my 642. Absolutely no issues for this lefty and highly recommended. Don't have any experience with Lasermax so I can't comment on them.
