Does Crimson trace make a laser grip for a XD-40 im not sure if they do since there is no removabale grip.
I have heard of them for glocks and was wondering if theses will fit on a XD.

No. The original ones for Glocks had to be sent to the factory for grip alteration (that apparently did not void the warranty). CT has announced a new design (for Glocks only so far) that will fit "over" the grip of the large & compact size models, but not the sub-compacts.

Browse a bit at the Crimson Trace forum for a lot of good info from both users and the factory.

I understand that there is now a slip-on, kinda like the Hogue "handall" but it's not for pistols with a grip safety, for what it's worth.

No CT grip for the XD yet.

Right now they are still getting the final kinks worked out of the drop-on grip for Glocks. I handled that one at SHOT Show, and again this past weekend visiting with a couple of CT employees who were in a shooting class I took, and it is very cool indeed.

I'd expect the XD to provide even more challenges than the Glock does, especially in view of the grip safety on the XD. Overheard one of the CT engineers saying as much to one of the students who asked him about it, but didn't catch any further details because breaktime was about over.

It seems like I saw a setup that worked out of the guide rod on a Berreta 92. I never saw one in person but I wonder if that design could be modified to work in other systems?
