Remember the Rovatec Bullite? Well, this is better. Laserlyte's new Laser Trainer Pro (LT-Pro) is just what American shooters need right now: a safe and inexpensive way to practice shooting. For years, the Israeli Mossad have been using laser training devices to covertly hone their pistol skills in the field. Naturally, with the price of ammunition continuing to soar here in the States, a laser training device like this would be very well received here. Laserlyte has recognized this opportunity and executed nicely with the new LT-Pro.

If any of you guys were unfortunate enough to have purchased the Rovatec Bullite a few years ago, you got burned badly like I did. They were over $200 and broke easily. With spare parts and customer service coming all the way from Israel, it was a very frustrating experience. But the concept was good and Laserlyte came through big time with this similar product.

Laserlyte's LT-Pro laser trainer fits most popular calibers (9mm-45acp) and mounts inside the barrel of your handgun. The LT-Pro is activated by the sound of your hammer or striker dropping. A small laser dot will then flashes for 100 milli-seconds-- simulating bullet impact. The unit also works well on revolvers, which was a pleasant surprise. It's a very rugged low profile design, so you can still train hard and use your duty holster and other accessories. I recommend the use of snap caps too. MSRP is $99.95 and well worth every penny, but I bought a couple from my distributor for only $62. It paid for itself the first day I opened the box.

Laserlyte has been coming out with such innovative and cool products lately, including quite possibly the most politically incorrect firearms accessory to debut in years: The Laserlyte Pistol Bayonet, made by KA-BAR. The razor sharp blade attaches to any pistol with a universal slide lock mount. It's not very practical for civilian use-- but if Zombies every attack, I want one of these on my sidearm! They have a few different color schemes available, including a new Ramboesque survival model. I thought you guys would enjoy these pics. Have a good one and God bless. -- Evan

I take OP as a shameless advertisement,,, so here is a shameless (conditional) endorsement

In the way back when, milday took an interest in shooting (as they used to say in the beer commercials "it just doesn't get any better than this"). Some fallout from that, other than a couple dozen new firearms, was that she bought me a DAISY "QuicKSkill"... yeah, I know, DAISY... ROFLMAF... but it was pretty keen, believe it or not, no BS
(still got it, still works, but those "bullets" eat button batteries at a pace that would put Jerry M to shame)

ran across this LL Pro thing the other day, couldn't resist.. "for the child within"
it works
be very gentle and patient with loading batteries and insertion in muzzle, etc., looks pretty easy to booger up
but it is a hoot to "shoot"

there is NO substitute for live fire practice
but "dry fire" can be good for both you and your gun
(better yet with visual instant feedback)
always use good snap caps, no matter what the manual says
do not forget to take it out of the muzzle before loading live rounds
every gun in your hand is a LOADED gun, live rounds, no matter what you checked
you only get to kill something you did NOT want to ONCE, guys
(but you already knew that, I know)

dunno if the batteries will last as advertised, dunno how long before I booger it up, but I figure I have already had $80 worth of fun with it this weekend (and the day ain't over with yet)
compared to what I just might burn up at the range tomorrow morning, not a real bad deal, whichever way it goes
