When im hunting anything to kill I take the most accurate gun that I shoot the best

Not me or I'd always hunt with the 30-06 Remington 700. I like variety and have used a 45-70, 7.62x39, and 30-06 this year. I have a doe tag left and am going out with my peep sighted .357 lever action.

very nice deer. and while I use a smaller caliber, I have never understood the complaint or concept of "overkill" (is that like the deer is too dead, or what?):p

thanks guys, my buddy was guessing he would score 135 or so. as for my choice of round i have used everything from 22-250 to 338 for deer. and i have yet to kill one "too dead" :neener:

Ever watch the 1969 movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"? Their first train robbery is a perfect example of "Overkill". "Think you used enough dynamite there Butch"?

Nice deer!! Nice rifle. anything over .45lc @1000 fps is over kill. anything over 50 yds is long range!!! ha ha just kidding!! more better over gunned than under gunned. if we were limited to one or two calibers our sport might get boring. ...frontloader
