Late 60s Marlin 336 factory swivel?

I just bought a 1969 Marlin 336 -- it's in transit -- and see from photos that it has a swivel stud in the buttstock, and a stud attached to the magazine tube just forward of the forend wood. What are the chances this was a factory setup in 1969...? Slim to none?
