Well, I need practice. It's been a while since I shot anything, and going from an easy shooting SR9c and XD to light single stack... I'm probably not qualified to give you much of a report, but I'll give it a shot.

I never really noticed the recoil except when trying to get off multiple shots... then it was bit slower than my SR9c. I have a tendon injury from a stubborn weedeater that my SR9 never bothers... after 150 rounds I notice it with the LC9s. That's the only difference. Hand doesn't notice any difference.

Trigger is spongier than my SR9c (almost ALL triggers are) but I don't notice it all while shooting. It's a good trigger. Really good.

During the first 50 rounds I swore the gun was shooting low... really low. I was really compensating with the sights. Then I realized my grip was so tense it was radiating into my trigger finger. A little grip discipline and my groups got decent... like the one below. The next hundred rounds went well with nice groups, with a couple flyers out of each magazine. My fault, not the gun's. I just haven't been practicing.

This week I'll start shopping for a holster and an extra magazine (I've got a Desantis Softtuk that works for OK now).

It's got one of the better thumb safeties on the market. I really like that it's not ambidextrous... I kept bumping into things with my SR9c and would occasionally knock it off. I don't think that will happen with the LC9s. The mag disconnect isn't my favorite feature, but I can live with it.

Trigger reset might be an issue for some people. You go back out just about to where it breaks to begin with. Doesn't matter to me because I try not to think about reset when I'm practicing. I go all the way forward with my trigger anyway. I don't want to risk short stroking.

My groups tightened up at about 110 rounds, with 115 gr PMC. Next trip out was hand loads. 4.3 gr Bullseye 115 gr Hornady FMJ RN. Grouped noticeably better than 4 gr BE. VERY happy love the trigger and very concealable. Having said that, I'm returning it for service due to FTLock Open. Plus I'll get the conical guide rod. No complaints yet.

What's the sense in posting a picture of a shot group without saying the distance from which it was fired? That's an outstanding 50-yard group; from 3 yards it sucks big-time.

Good shooting! I would be pleased with groups like that with a subcompact 9mm.

fatmanonabike, are you sure the failure to lock open is due to the gun? It could be your thumb. It's why I decided not to buy an LC9s. The placement of the slide release fell in a location where my thumb knuckle would slightly rest on it when I was using my natural hold, and in turn, it would keep it from locking open. Before returning it, modify your hold to see if it will lock open on its own [assuming that this was the issue].

bannockburn, thanks. But I have to work way too hard to get those results. In the stress of a SD situation I'm afraid I may miss the target entirely, so I know a lot of trigger time is needed.

I can easily get those groups with my SR9c. But the SR9c is a dream to shoot and I've got thousands of rounds at the trigger.

I guess I should mention... the gun did perform flawlessly. I was shooting during my lunch so only had time for 150 rounds of Federal 115 gr fmj and a couple magazines of 124 gr Speer Gold Dots.
