I know this is subjective, however for those that may have both pistols, which do you feel has more recoil?

I already have the LCP and I'm now interested in purchasing the PM9 but I'd like to hear what you have to say about the recoil differences between the two before I purchase the PM9.

Thanks...

In my opinion, the PM9 is much easier to shoot and the recoil is less annoying to me than the LCP.

It is hard to tell which has "the most". Even though it is a bit snappy, I don't mind the PM9...but I really don't like the LCP. At all. There simply isn't all that much grip to wrap the hand around on the LCP.

I don't own the LCP but a friend does. I have the PM9. We shot a couple of boxes thru each pistol last week to break them in. So you are getting my first impressions.

Maja, I agree with you about the harshness of the LCP recoil so I was hoping that the PM9 would be better because I've heard so many people recommend the PM9 for pocket carry. Thanks for your comments.

If shooting something like Corbon, the LCP is unpleasant. Less potent rounds aren't that bad, but the PM9 was still less of a handful with just about any round I tried.

agree

love to shoot my lcp, great gun, fits anywhere. that being said I have 12,650 flawless rounds through my pm9, so that should also tell you how much I love to shoot that semi. Recoil to me is just not there. I can shoot 300 rounds per shoot and not feel beat up at all. I must admit my pm9 is ported by mag-na-port, so we may not be talking all apples and oranges here either, but it was a dream gun before I ported it, just dreamier now. Have since had it instensensivley modifed by cylinder and slide with xs 24/7 big dot nite sites on it and a 5# trigger with complete action work by C & S. and 360 degree stipple job , and the slide lock lever highly contoured as also the trigger also contoured. Got more in the custom work than the gun, but I trust my life with it and it is my 24/7 companion to..

I don't have an LCP, but I have two Kel Tec .380's. The recoil on the PM9 is nothing compared to that of my Kel Tecs. The recoil is much less, and I think may be one of the most accurate pistols that I own.

I can not recommend this gun enough. I may even get a second one in the Black Diamond Carbide Coating.
