Kahr
My friend has a lcp and says it is super, much more reliable and much more quality than the kt 380 is. he loves it. I have two on order. One for my son and one for me UNTIL my kahr 380 gets in. His ruger as ouf yesterday had 2500 flawless-perfect rounds through it. Kinda hard to dispute that Ruger does not have a winner here.
I have the PM9 and can say it can damn near go anywhere my 380 kt (that I once owned) could go. I love it, much more firepower than the 380 ever dreamed of to, BUT I love that little kahr P380 to, and the price although not cheap is just eaking in quality. We should by now realize that size has nothing to do with guns as far as price goes. Rohrbaugh or Seacamps for example, both $1000 guns and small small. The Ruger lcp is going to eat Kt up in the 380 sales and the Kahr was certainly not designed to compete head on with the Ruger or Kt, Hell, MSRP of the Ruger and Kt, and Kahrs, The Kahr is double. My PM9 was not cheap either, and neither is one's life. I trust my PM9 completely and I would trust the Ruger LCP. Owned 3 kt's, could not trust any one of them. I will pay the difference and own a kahr when it comes out. I like everything about it.Sure it has features that some naysayers will say, hell you don't need that in a defense pocket gun. BUT THEY ARE THERE AND I LIKE UM. Stainless slide over blued or hard chromed slide, all 3 very good but one is better. Polygonal rifled bbl. certainly not needed either but Polygonal barrel although not any more accurate are good for an increase in velocity and hopefully we can all admit that any more speed out of a 380 is a darn nice thing to. Slide lock, over none on the kt's or just a manual slide lock on the Ruger lcp is certainly a nice feature, considering Kahrs has always recommened using the slide lock release to chamber that first round. Kahrs has a better trigger system than both Ruger and Kt (which are the same). they are good, Kahrs is just better. Dovetail sites on the kahr over builit in sites on the Ruger and Kt,. not needed, maybe not but you will be able to install nite sites on the little kahrs where you cannot on the other two, and you can fine tune it to ur shooting style. Looks: Well the Kahr IMO is one beautifuol looking little pocket gun and to me anyhow is worthy of their price, whicih my dealer has quoted will come to me at around $525. I can live with that.. My bet is that a year from now or maybe even sooner, we will see a Kahr cw380 which will not have some of the bells and whistles the Kahr P380 has and will then be maybe within a $100 of the Ruger and Kt, and THEN, LET THE GAMES BEGIN
