I just got back from my first range trip with my new LCP. I have large hands. The LCP is not a comfortable gun to shoot. The trigger pull on mine is absolutely awful: long & gritty. Firing with the pad of my trigger finger made for an uncomfortabe trigger pull, and it took most of a box of 50 rounds before I could reliably pull most of the slack out of the trigger and then squeeze off the shot. The gun would be far more comfortable to shoot with a larger grip, but that is a trade off vs. concealability.

My review:
Good: awesome concealability, It drops into an Uncle Mikes sidekick size 3 inside the pocket holster, and can be carried in a pair of shorts without obvious printing. Weight loaded with 6 rounds of 90 grain Federal Hydra-shok JHP is only 11- 3/4 oz. verses 1 lb 6 - 3/4 oz for my .380 Colt Govt model with the same load. No failures to feed, extract or fire with Winchester White Box 95 gr. FMJ or90 gr. Federal Hydra-shok JHP. I could not make it limpwrist (probably because the trigger was so heavy.)

Bad: Awful trigger, small black front site is nearly invisible, must depress the mag release in order to insert a new magazine (supposedly this is remedied through wear.) Not a comfortable gun to shoot.

Accuracy: Not so great at 7 yards. Six shot groups tightened up as I got more accustomed to the trigger, but still in the 4" to 6" range with occasional flier. Early on, before I got used to the trigger, I put one off the paper to the left. Accuracy should improve if I paint the front site, and polish up the trigger.

Verdict:
Good carry piece when dressed in light clothing during hot humid weather. NOT my choice for a day of plinking at the range. I will likely disassemble and see if I can smooth out the trigger a bit.

I didn't think the trigger was too bad. It certainly isn't a target trigger, but it accomplishes the purpose of being usefull and acting as a "safety."

One of my fellow instructors managed a 8 inch group (approximately) at 25 yards with 6 shots.

I wouldn't start a fight with one, but it will certainly finish a fight.

The trigger is long and heavy because you're going to carry it in your pocket with one in the pipe. I don't find mine uncomfortable to shoot and accuracy really is as good as you can pull the trigger and keep that little pistol pointed at the target.

that is my one big problem with the LCP as compared to the Kel tec p3at... I dont want to start an argument about which is better, but from the ones I have handled the better trigger in the kel tec as compared to the LCP more than makes up for its lack of a slide stop. as a result, I will go with the kel tec every time..

glad you are OVERALL satisfied with the LCP.
