Anyone know if heavy metal-free ammo is even possible, much less available? From what I understand a lead-free or TMJ bullet is no problem. The real problem comes with the priming compound which has lead (or in the old days mercury, still no good) in it. Just curious if there are non-toxic primers I guess.

I'd love to see some primer-only .22LR (even better if plastic or wax bullets) that I could shoot inside without worrying about toxic chemicals building up.

I know they have lead-free pellets if anyone has similar concerns about lead and indoor shooting.

winclean is winchester's version..not sure if they make .22 though. I know they make most hangun cals. It's pricey though.

"...Does Winclean still have regular primers?..." The 'NT' means Non-Toxic.
"...concerns about lead and indoor shooting..." You'd have to live in an indoor range for years before you'd have any problems. A regular particle or surgical mask will make the whole issue go away.
