lead in top barrel grooves

Zeb, if you can, when you get your MBC bullets, try W231 or cheaper HP-38 (same exact powder) at start-to-high range load data in your Lone Wolf barrel after enlarging the chamber to accommodate the .401" diameter lead bullet using .421"-.422" taper crimp and let us know if it leads your barrel as these combinations have worked well for my Lone Wolf barrels in Glock 22/27.

BTW, I have not experienced any powder position sensitivity in the 9/40/45 cases with W231/HP-38 which often will not fill the case fully at start-to-near max load data.

Keep us posted.

The problem is solved

After another day of trying to get it right I have made the correction.
I sat back in deep thought. After checking the new cost for shipping lead from the best seller as compared to the cost of Jacketed, I came to two conclusions:
No1. If you want to shoot lead buy a gun made to do so!
No.2-I got rid of the problem and sent the Lone Wolf back and will stick with Jacketed for use in my Glocks.
Thanks ........... God Bless ya All
The End

Well, essentially Glock IS made to shoot lead bullets except for the barrel due to leade length, rifling type/start of rifling, etc. hence the reason why many shooters swap Glock barrels with aftermarket barrels to shoot lead bullets. Actually, long before we applied full-length gas checks on lead bullets (jacketing or plating), people have been shooting lead bullets out of semi-auto pistols with similar operational action that Glock uses.

Although I respect your decision to shoot jacketed bullets in your Glock, Glock still do not endorse shooting of any reloaded ammunition (lead, plated or jacketed).

Use of aftermarket barrels with conventional square cut land/groove rifling over the rounded hill/valley hexagonal Glock rifling is simply returning to the practice when shooting of lead bullets was the norm.

I shoot jacketed/plated/lead reloads out of my M&P40 pistol that has square cut land/groove rifling. I am thinking about using an aftermarket 40-9 conversion barrel so I can shoot 9mm like I do with G22/G27. When I competed with a 1911, barrel/bushing swapping was a common practice to improve accuracy.
