We had a little problem over parking spaces at a WalMart a few days back-apparently I left 'bout 10 minutes before this happened. Reports are spotty, but you can read the article here http://www.godanriver.com/gdr/news/...ument_takes_police_to_danville_wal-mart/8152/

Probably going to get closer to the truth by reading the comments left by posters, but which ones are accurate? Note the "gunman" was a CHP holder. Below is more detail than I've seen/heard yet-from a comment left at the site:

More to this story than meets the eye. “Gunman” was with his wife and children, entering the store. “Troublemaker” confronted him, with 2 other men backing him up. Told gunman he was going to “let it go this time” , but next time it wouldn’t. Gunman didn’t know what troublemaker was talking about. Troublemaker was sore because he didn’t get the parking spot. Gunman didn’t even know there was a problem. Troublemaker kept putting his finger in gunmans face, finally pushing him in the face. Gunman defended himself, physically, striking troublemaker. Troublemakers two friends stepped up, so gunman pulled back his coat, not brandishing his weapon, but being ready to if necessary. Troublemaker tackled gunman, knocking the gun away. Troublemaker was a convicted felon, who crawled to the gun AND PICKED IT UP, which shold have gotten him a five year mandatory minimum prison sentence. Security came, took the weapon from troublemaker, (whose two friends had backed away then), and no charges were filed. If 3 men were about to gang up on me, with my wife with me, no matter what it was over, I would use whatever tools I had necessary to protect my wife and I from bodily harm. Sounds different now, huh?
