About 5 years ago I bought a clip on holster for my Kahr .40 After years it has stretched and the gun is loose. When I wear it my belt keeps it in and tight. Is there a way to tighten up the leather. Would soaking in water shrink it ?

Sounds like you got a cheap holster. There's many kinds of cheap holster, and what would work for one kind would not work for another kind. In short, unless you're working with new never-stretched leather, there is no way to shrink it.

You might take it to a cobbler shop (shoe repair shop for you younger guys) and see what they can do to tighten it up. OR - just buy a new holster.

After 5 years of use, you definately got your moneys worth out of that holster. Don't take the risk of your gun falling out. Just buy a new one.

Hey all great advice. The holster is a Bianchi 100 Sz9a That should be a good holster. Your right I should get a new holster. I do have a Milt Sparks K40 but it is an outside the waist band. I'm left handed so when I put that holster on I have to nearly take my belt all of the way off. And there there is the it stick out more. I guess I'll start looking for a new one. I do like the clip on. In the morning when I go out. I just grab it slip it in and go. When I get home later I just pull it out and place it in its place. Since I'm retired in and out could be many time a day. Wearing it all day does not appeal to me. Well I'll work it out.

Wait !!!!!!!!!!! the price of gas $4.15 this morning, anti gunner are taking over, terrorists are coming. And I'm worrying over a holster. Where is my head.:banghead:

Good Morning all
