LED flashlight recommendations

Fenix if $$ is a concern and you don't want a true "Tacticool" light.
O-light is an option too--newer brand from Asia too, similar to Fenix.
Surefire L-series light if money is not a concern.

It does sort of depend on what you want the light to do for you, and what batteries you intend to run it on.

Friend of mine bought a Ray O Vac at cheapmart based on my report from this thread.
He likes everything about it except the twist switch. Is there a replacement click switch of the right diameter and thread for this light?

(I would have bought one except I won a Surefire at the IDPA State.)
There is bound to be someone over on Candlepowerforums that would know...

Yeah, but those folks tend to tell you how to make a watch when you ask the time. Worse than the gun boards.

OK, I asked there on a RayOVac thread. We'll see.

There is a Fenix P1D Cree on my person all the time. Great little light, but not "tactical".

Surefire (not LED) by the bedside for night time intruders, and various Mini-MagLite LED conversions in the glove boxes, around the house, etc.
