Ok my Lee Pro 6000 running good now. I also bought the Lee Classic Turret Press. Was going set it up for rifle such as 30-06. I have been trying to get my Lee Auto Drum powder measured set for it. I had no issues installing it on my progressive bud with this set up I have a Lee long Rifle charging die with a Lee riser between the die and powder measured. I am following the instructions but it doesn’t seem to want to work. I can’t get it set to see the drum actuated. I screw it in till it stops moving against shellcase mouth then turn 1/8 turn more. It won’t move the drum. I try turning it down a little more and no luck. Here is a picture of the 30-6 cases I have ruined trying if it helps you know what I’m doing wrong. Thank you
Brian

There is a linkage that clicks out of place to shut off the rotary of the drum. Make sure it is in position to catch with the up stroke.

I’ve watched the videos but the auto drum I have does not have that click lever to unlock the linkage or to even remove. So I don’t know where or how to unlock it. I have one on another press and it works fine and looks the same but this one won’t budge. I can rotate the drum by hand holding the side of it where key goes but the lower linkage don’t move

Post a picture of the die set up on the press.

Take the powder measure off. adjust you powder die (with the silver insert) on the top per the instructions. (like you were gonna use a funnel on top
The die is to deep which crushes the case neck Once adjusted take the adapter off and screw in the measure,

MPORTANT! Remove any residual oil
in the through hole of the expanding plug with a tissue.
Screw the die in until it touches the shell holder, then back out 2 full turns.
Finger tighten the lock ring, adjust the flare to your liking; turning inward
increases the flare. For maximum case life, flare only enough to easily accept
a bullet. In use, the expander plug travels approximately ⅜” within the die
and comes to an abrupt stop at extraction. This helps to shake the powder
through. However, we recommend you check to be sure all the powder has
cleared the funnel and expander plug.
Be sure to occasionally clean the bullet lube from the expander plug
to prevent a powder clog.

The lower part of the linkage clicks in and out. Inward toward the body disengages the powder throw. Click it out and it should engage.

What powder are you running? I'm asking because this issue aside, my auto drum does NOT like the heavier powders....
With this issue, watch for the little black drum to turn, when it makes the dump, that is the bottom of the stroke, looks like you're over stroking.

Ok here are pics of set up as it is now with screwing it down till it touched shellholdet and backing out 2 turns. The drum won’t budge still. I had been screwing if down till it touched mouth of case with Ram in up position and it won’t budge rhere either. I tried with that link clicked in and out. ????? 851DB5E0-6C60-43E6-BB4D-9A9DB3A256D1.jpeg

UGGGGHHHHH....I've done that before but has been so long I forget what the issue was. It was something stupid like using the short rifle charging die instead of long or having the inserts from them swapped around......it was something to do with that riser to get the powder drop higher. Wish I could remember exactly but if I'm remembering right the long vs short charging die have very little overlap in size & you have to use the correct one.

Not being a smart-a$$ - but it DID happen to me..... so I know that it 'can' happen. When I was assembling everything on my new Six Pack Pro I neglected to install the internal tube in the riser. It is what the tube coming out the bottom of the powder dispenser contacts to actuate the lever. So, there is the tube coming out the bottom of the dispenser, the sliding tube in the riser and lastly the sliding tube in the powder charging die - Just a thunk.

RandyP good call. The missing link is the tube in the riser. It wasn’t there. I had ordered everything needed and when I sarted last night I opened the parts. The riser had no tube in it. Nor in the package. I took the riser out of the mix. I had to remove one die and skip a station to get the powder measure on without the riser and then screwed other die back in and it works fine now. As it is now I have resizing and decal die in station 1. Skip station 2. The powder measure in station 3 and bullet seater in station 4. I don’t know whether call Lee to get the missing tube or be faster to order another riser?

Glad I could help. Like most troubleshooting situations, it ends up being something simple. I've no doubt the great folks at Lee customer service will get you the needed part quickly.
