I swear someone just shipped me a 16 ga kit in a 12 ga box, but I am brand new to loading so I’ll lay the facts out. All of the tools that go inside the shell measure 1/2” nominal OD. This seems appropriate to the 16ga .662 bore. With 12 ga being .810 nominal, I’d expect the tools to be more like 11/16” OD. Theorycraft aside, the dowels all seem too small and the sizer jams the shell in so tight you have to ruin them to extract.

Perhaps a member here has a kit that could take a sample measurement to validate my sanity?

BTW, this is the manual kit that you beat with a hammer. Thanks.

Sorry for the delay. With the holidays and all......

This is my lee loader in 12ga. I have loaded ALOT of ammo with it. Once you get a rhythm going it's almost as fast as my mec.

Hey Clone, appreciate the measurements. Looks like mine is indeed a 16ga. Shame too, I was keen to spend the holiday learning how to do it the “hard way”.
