Would anyone know if you can use a 3 die set in the four hole classic turret press.

I want to get one but all I have are 3 die sets and do not want to purchase all new dies.

Still would like to use the indexer.

Thanks
Mike

Sure, just leave on hole empty. You will have to move through that empty hole for each shell. OR just buy a separate lee final crimp die, use that extra hole for what it was meant for.

Um, not to be nitpicky, but what does the classic loader have to do with 3 or 4 die sets and a turret press? The classic loader is a one piece die "tool" that you use with a plastic mallet.

I was just hoping the guy wasn't trying to screw 3 lee loaders into a 4 die turret.....I'm not sure how that would be accomplished, but I was having visions of epoxy & duct tape.....

fireflyfather...Snuffy's answer was correct using the information that you gave in your first post. I read it the same as Snuffy...Read it again...Please. And yes I know how you titled it, but it still reads like you are using a 3 die set in a four die turret...

Firefly, I see your point... that would be a scary thought now wouldn't it.

Cheers, Mate:)

Bushmaster, I know what they meant. I was just ribbing them a little and making the point that the lee loader can't be screwed in like a die (lots of people ask that before they buy a hand press or a LL). There's a lot of confusion between the hand press and lee loader, and it makes it hard for those getting into reloading to figure out what they need.
