Anyone use it? How’s it compare to RCBS uniflow? Looking for something not as tight and gritty as the Lee PPM.

I have been using one for years and am quite pleased with it. Upgraded from the PPM. Haven't owned any others to compare to nor felt the need.
Do you feel the same tightness or grittiness as the PPM had? I used a uniflow yesterday and was very impressed with how smooth it was and I didn’t have to actually cycle the handle down to drop the charge the handle just kind of fell in place.

Haven't tried the fancy version, but my dinky lee perfect powder measure throws more accurate and consistent charges than either of my 2 uniflows. Now, the uniflow is unquestionably a nicer piece of equipment. It just doesn't do as good a job.

No tightness or grittiness and it cycles smoothly, but not the way you just described.

I’ll agree with you on the accuracy. I was loading 24gr. The first charge I got 24 and the the worst was 23.6. Never hit 24 again with the uniflow but the PPM hits almost right on each time. If it wasn’t for the gritty feeling of the PPM I’d like it.

I use the dinky LPPM for stick powders and it works surprisingly well. I'd expect the Deluxe model to perform as well or better. For ball powders, the Uniflow is the only thing that works for me, and it too, works very well. I think you'll do well with either, Axis II.

I find that tapping the bottom of the hopper for 30 seconds or more helps to establish an evenly distributed density throughout the entire hopper, thus reducing variability and facilitating very repeatable drops. In the end, if a measure repeatability delivers a set charge, IMO it's a keeper regardless of the feel.

I’ve got gorilla hands so the handle is hard to use and mine is so tight and gritty it feels like it’s gonna break. I do agree on accuracy. I just ordered a deluxe based on these short reviews and johnnys reloading bench video. It’s cheap enough to try and Amazon has a great return policy.

Accuracy is excellent. Even with Unique.

I agree with these three posts, they cover my experiences with the Lee Deluxe PM.

Except for the part about Unique. I've never used Unique.
