Will the Lee carbide die for seating .45 auto work for both semi-wadcutter and round nose bullets?

yes. I have done RN, SWC, and round shoulder all with the lee 45acp dies

Works fine for both, if I remember correctly Lee's instructions state that it's designed to seat most bullet types.

Huh?! Lee doesn't make a carbide seating die. There's no need for carbide in a seating die.

Lee makes a factory crimp die that has a carbide final sizer in it, lee also makes a carbide sizer die, but no carbide seater die. The FCD does not seat, only crimps and evens out any lumps so they will chamber.

Some die sets (such as Dillon, Hornady) come with a seater die that includes either a flippable seater plug (Ex: Dillon) or two seater plugs (Ex: Hornady). These plugs are optimized for flat point designs, and for round nose designs respectively. The Lee seater dies work with both bullet profiles, but may not seat as consistently in some circumstances. (correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's a one-size-fits all seater with the Lee dies).
