OK, now that MJ has posted one of his EXTREEMLY FINE Enfields (and he has a bunch of them), I will put up a few of my "more used" rifles, until madcratebuilder shows up, showing his stuff off. Then, the duel will begin!

here is on that you don't see every day.
a BSA lee speed sporting rifle.
this particular one was rebarreled by musgrave & son's in bloemfontein south africa a long time ago. the gun is well used and the rebarrel job places it in africa.
eventually i'll find it a buddy in .375/303.

Ishapore 1950 #1mk3 with a "cup, discharger" for grenade launching. Wire wrapped reinforced stock to handle the load of firing grenades. They were not fired from the shoulder.

The cup works great with tennis balls and blanks. Will throw a tennis ball about 200' up and 100 yards down range.

Gus, that is one of the prettiest #1's I have ever seen!

I must admit that the pic was "washed" so to speak. We took it using HDR settings and then ran it through some software to make it look a bit better. The wood is not quite that rich and deep in tone. Nothing major just some tweaking to make her look her best.

This No4(T) preservation is about complete. Warren Wheatfield rebuilt the No32 scope for me and Brian at BDL is re-coating the mount in Suncorite.

Enfield rifles have to be some of the best looking rifles out there. At least to me. I have a thing for the very early models. I would love to have a No1 Mk1 Lee Enfield non charger conversion with the dust cover still intact...

Thank you Doug but I think quality in sharing photos is very important to give viewers an idea of what draws us to the Enfield. I don't see it as a contest of who can lather on pictures of any sort of Enfield in vast quantities. Anyone can lay out twenty rifles of all descriptions and confuse the viewing public. Your photo shows a good deal of thought and care. A well done to you and the others posting in this area.

DougW, I keep looking at your No1 with the grenade launcher....I'm trying to stay away from Gunbroker, your not helping! I like your uncapped No5, I've been watching for one.

No5 MkI, 3/47 Faz. As close to unissued as I have been able to find, no ftr, no import marking.

some of you make it all too easy to hate you... I've got a small, but hopefully growing collection. My world war's collection is still small (I'm only 23 though, so I've HOPEFULLY got time!) but for enfields I've currently got a no4 mkII in mummy wrap and a no4 mk I (1941, maltby I think? trying to remember of the top of my head). I need to get some pics of the beauty's!

Thanks MJ. Your's and madcrate's rifles are some of the nicest Enfields out there.

'crate, thanks on the #5mk1, as I got lucky on that one (came with a L buttstock, all matching 8/44 Fazakerley). The other is a BSA #5mk1 that came from SOG's U-Fix-Em's. it is complete, but has some rust damage, and the origional wood is shot. In temporary #4 wood till I can scavenge some #5 wood.

Bummer I just gave a guy in Sacramento a #5 wood set for some brass.
