Turns out the wooden ball handle on the Lee Loadmaster sits on a taper. No threading, etc. Could not find this info anywhere.
Got this press 2nd hand and was worried that maybe the previous owner had glued/epoxied the ball on the handle.
Picked up a larger ball (easier on the hand) and wanted to change it out.
Finally after many attempts to gentle it off, I got a pair of channel locks and screwed it off. well, almost. a couple twists and it popped right off! I was kinda glad but didn't really want to tear the ball up. BUT, it survived suprisingly well, just a couple little dents a bit of sandpaper will easily take out. Anyway, got the new larger ball on in just a jiffy, sure works swell! Just so ya know......
