lee pro 1000 vs. lee loadmaster

The auto disk is working well for me. I also use the adjustable charge bar. At first I had consistency problems with the small charges, not to mention 2 squibs (my fault because I wasn't looking into every case). I attached a vibrator to the powder hopper which helped immensely, even with Unique. More recently, I found the discussion on loadmastervideos.com about the design flaw of the adjustable charge bar, tried the recommended fix and no longer need/use the vibrator. I haven't retried it with Unique though. BTW, I'm using an upgraded auto disk, not the pro version.

Alright thanks. So as far the cleaning goes I have a quick question. Canned air, good or bad? I can see it being both so I'm curious. And the motor oil for lubing sounds like a great idea. Do you use a high or low viscosity synthetic?

Canned or compressed air is fine. I keep a small brush on the bench and use paper towel to wipe everything down with oil bottle/Q-tip for lubing.

As to lube, I used to use BreakFree, but now use any conventional/synthetic motor oil leftover from oil change (typically 5-30W/10-40W).

I bought a used loadmaster from a guy that couldn't make it work. I've got it working just fine in four different calibers and about to add 2 more. It just needed some adjustment. Yes, I crushed a couple of primer sliders at the start but that was because I didn't read and understand how things worked. Once I stepped back and studied a bit I've not had any problems other than an occasional flipped primer. Bottom line is it is much faster than my single stage, loads great ammo, and I'm completely satisfied with it.
