I think I remember a thread over at FTL that discussed a problem that came up when using Lee Dies with the LNL AP. It was said the Lees don't have threads to bottom out on the Hornady machine and still allow the locking ring to function. One of the remedies was to drill a hole in the Hornady LNL AP bushing and install a 7 1/2 lead shot and set screw.
I just took the locking ring off, removed the 0-ring, and turned the ring upside down. It works fine that way for Lee 44 Mag dies.
