I just got lee turret press for .45 acp. Manual left a lot to the imagination about setup. I got three hole set with lee dies. Also auto disk powder dispenser. Tried to set up based on pictures. Any setup help and or pics of your bench would be great.

JD has it right - the website is the best reference - even has videos online for most of it. Once I bolted it to the bench most of the "setup" type of instructions was actually with the dies, not the press itself.

I own and have used a Lee Turret three hole for over 15 years...What exactly is your problem? If need be PM me...It will be easier for me to send photos that way...(Sorry...Computer dummy):D

Thanx to all... I didnt have aparticular problem but i just wanted to make sure i was set up right before i started. videos helped alot. i need to purchase lee auto prime and i wll be ready, thanks alot.

Is it auto indexing? You can disable that when needed by simply removing the index rod (behing the shell holder, it has a twist in it).

The auto disk powder measure works great but is a bit aggravating for me. The entire measure needs to be removed to empty the hopper or change disks. With the 4 hole turret the space is so tight I have to remove the bullet seating die to do it. You can upgrade to the pro version for 20 bucks and is well worth it.

Did you get the factory crimp die? That's best for auto pistols. If you prime separately and use the factory crimp die the 3 hole works out well. Boom boom boom, out comes the ammo.

Amen to that. Its really my biggest gripe so far, that and the lack of instructions on setting up. I have a thread going here on it.

I fiound the online instructions very helpful too.

You can adjust it and the charging die so that you can leave it attached. I haven't removed my measures (I have both versions) since setting them up. The non-pro version is annoying since it uses screws to hold the hopper, but it works fine otherwise. When I dump the remaining powder, I take the entire turret out and dump the powder from the hopper into the funnel sitting on top of the powder bottle.
