Having read about the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network
http://www.armedcitizensnetwork.org/
a few weeks ago, I joined right away. Now that I have begun using the training DVDs that are part of the membership benefits, and read two of the newsletters, I heartily recommend this organization to all THR members.

From the Network home page:
The Network’s goal is to prevent miscarriages of justice through—
o Educating members about the legalities of using deadly force for self-defense and how to interact with the criminal justice system after a shooting.
o Creating a nationwide network of attorneys and legal experts which the member can draw upon in the event of a self-defense shooting.
o Granting financial assistance from a separate non-profit foundation to members who are facing unmeritorious prosecution or civil action after a self-defense incident.

The Network is young and relatively small, but the goals and approach are on target. Active participation by Masaad Ayoob was a big selling point for me when I joined. I already see his positive contributions there. Growing membership will help fund the direct member benefits, and more significantly, grow the baseline funds for the associated Foundation, to support members caught in a self-defense legal mess.

I recommend that THR throw full support behind the Network and make this a Sticky thread in the Legal forum.

85 bucks a year! :D Alot right now, but I bet you if I needed them I'd be kicking myself for not joining.
