It sounds like a smoke blowing myth to me. I personally just use what seems right to me. It's your call what you do.

An instructor for the Texas CHL told one client that there was no problem in taking the shooting test with a laser sight. Given what I know of his past history, I figure there's no problem.

I doubt that S&W would sell the 642CT if there was a chance of jeopardy for a user. I'm glad they do. Sorta takes my arthritis out of the equation. And gives a whole new meaning to, "Light 'em up!"
