Ok folks, has anyone found a good Long Eye Relief scope for use on a T/C Contender? Looking for something that can handle .30-30 recoil, and any other higher power rounds. Fixed or Variable, not a big deal since this will be hunting whitetail in some moderately dense brush, but since it will be on a hunting setup it does need to be able to handle some wear!

If you have used the scope, why did you like it? If you used one and suggest not buying it, why?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I have 3 different Burris LER scopes, 2-7, 3-9, 3-12, and they all work wonderfully. They all hold zero and have never had a problem with any of them.

My buddy decided to buy the Leupold 2.5-8 pistol scope since it was more expensive - so it must be a better scope. Leupold does not use a 1 piece scope tube on the pistol scopes and during a Hunters' Pistol match, his Leupold came apart at the turrets. It was replaced by Leupold and he sold it and bought a Burris.

I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x32 that I was using on a TC 14" 30-30 barrel for several months for my club's silhouette matches. I had no problems with this scope. What I like about this specific Bushnell is that it has the same eyerelief at all magnifications. I still stick with 4x though since the field of view at that magnification works good for me in IHMSA silhouette.

When I say "was using", I mean that I sold the barrel since I bought a 7TCU barrel (which I have yet to mount the scope on and shoot).
