45R - very impressive closet. I think you've got Tamara beat. You can arm two squads.

Artherd:

I LOVE it. The fact that it doesn't have a chrome lined chamber/bore IMO is its only shortcoming.

I use the SA 3rd gen mount. I usually catch a fair amount of flack for that, with all sorts of folks coming out of the woodwork telling me about how it didn't work for them, but from followup discussions, it seems that the common denominator among the unhappy customers is that they didn't fit it properly, which is a lengthy procedure involving hammer whaps and knob tightening.

I have yet to encounter anyone who fitted their SA mount correctly complain about it.

To be honest, however, if I had it to do over again, I think I'd plunk the money down on one of the scope mounts that doesn't require removal of the clip guide. I hate losing a rifle feature, ie, the ability to recharge the mag via strippers.

As for the scout mount, for a short while I had a militarized holosight on it, but it didn't interact well with the rail, and wouldn't hold zero. I ended up plopping the holo onto my Dissipator, and it's quite happy there.

When I'm done sorting out my new home in PA, I'm going to install a ghost ring rear and a tritium stripe post front sight on it, spruce up the stock, and call it complete.
