When you realize the knife you're carrying is bigger than the gun ... (no Cold Steel haters, please, but I'm a sucker for tanto blades, and the CS Recon 1 is S35VN with a robust, super-sharp blade and nice bluing).

You guys do know that you've got me visiting the Wilson Combat website now, looking at the EDC 9 pistols ... I'll tell the wife it's all y'all's fault.

Haha! Ive had that same little Pakistani boot knife since I was kid. It once spent an entire winter lost under snow in the back yard, but the mower found it in the spring.......View attachment 913610
The Heritage and the TimberRattler Bowie.
That looks like a very early Mark I along with the Guardian which came about during the 1980's. They also made a Guardian I about the size of the Mark I, but with a thinner blade and a Guardian II which was about the size of the Mark II. The Guardians all had a similar design Handle, some with black blades , and some with camo handles. They even came in 3 knife boxed sets; some with additional concealment shoulder holsters. They were designed by Bob Loveless.HiDive
My Gerber Mk.I has the gray handle and tan sheath but mine was marked with a $37.50 price!

I still have some of the accessory sets for the Guardian and the Mark I / Command I, if you are interested.HiDive
Thanks for the info; didn't know my Mk.I was an early production model. I knew the Guardian was because I happened to be at a knife shop and the owner told me it was a brand new design and he just got it in! I also got the accessory straps and sheath that you could carry it as a shoulder harness set-up.
