Here's one of my early attempts at gun photography. I should restage it now that I've learned more since then. Custom Hard-chromed CZ-75.

And here's my S&W Model 65. This is now my "spare" carry gun after I replaced it with my Sig 239.

all very nice guns

i love shiny guns, but don't have any yet
i have always wanted to buy one, thinking about getting cz 75b stainless high polished but very hard to find, and without one to hold in hand i can't make up my mind to buy online
anyway the wait continues
i wonder why revolvers tend to be mostly shiny SS while autoloaders have very few polished SS these days

Do you carry .38sp +P for CCW or .357? Just curious.

.38 Special 158 gr SWCHP (lead) +P

I found I could control the gun better and shoot faster with the .38's than with the Magnums I tried. (There are other Magnum loads I could try as well, but I wound up switching away from the revolver first anyway so it hasn't been worth going back to try them).

Nothing at all wrong with that load for PD IMO--I'm a semi guy myself but the guys I see at the range always seem to be practicing with the .38's and then using a magnum load of some sort for PD (of course much of this is a result of ammo costs but others are simply 'ballistically enamored' with the .357).

I'm kind of the opposite of you as lately I have had an 'inkling' to get me a revolver along the same lines as yours, not necessarily to 'replace' my primary CCW but more of a general-purpose type gun (us 'gun-nuts' will make up any excuse... ).

-Cheers

Not much to view really.
Guns are tools to me.

Not quite sure if it's nickel or chrome. But it's shiny.

"Please excuse my ignorance.......but, how does one tell the difference between nickle and stainless steel if one has a silver colored gun?

Thanks."

Stainless can be buffed to a shiney shine, right?
