Think of background checks, red flag alerts from your nosey neighbor calling the fire marshal to alert that her neighbor has an awful lot of explosives stored , daughters boyfriends greasy buddies, paper boy has a rip off friend. You just told 600,000 members ( total strangers) your personal business.
I use my C&R license for all my purchases so no background checks. My neighbors are all shooters. I only have two, I live in the country. I know the Fire Marshall and My only son lives 2,000 miles away. I don't have a paper boy. I don't read newspapers.

Look, it is obvious some of you are uneasy about posting pics of your ammo . That's fine. Many of us aren't. Let's not drift into an argument over the sanity of that... Or quibble over whether or not the government is spying on us or what they might do to us.

If we don't stay on topic the Mods are gonna chop this one off at the knee.

When I applied for my CCW,I was supplied with of a list of firearms I own or have owned from my local PD. So they apparently are keeping track of most anything the can.

Having said that, and knowing they are monitoring this thread, they will probably decide that I'm not much of a threat

By "their" definition, you definitely have an arsenal and are a threat. I can't recall which states, but I believe some have proposed limiting you to one box of 50 at a time.

And Armybrat, that bunker picture is really cool and I'm jealous, but there is no clear field of fire that I can see! Happiness is visibility and lack of cover.

Please re-read post # 32. If you want to post pics of your stash... then do so. If you don't ... then don't! But stop grousing about the repercussions or lack thereof of doing so.

Gunny, Where are you when we need you? You whom have been here longer than three years will know EXACTLY what that means.

For those who don't, go back two or three years in this subjects archives and you will see the greatest ammo stash in the history of the universe.

Can my neighbors learn my password used on TheHighRoad? Or has somebody's hacking revealed our passwords with addresses?

Maybe I misunderstood the reason for the concern regarding when people post photos here, whether showing ammo or guns.

I have a few cans of ammo.
Dang, I like those colored labels, Gunny. I just use paint markers. (Of course, if any employee of a federal agency is monitoring this site, the picture below is provided strictly for educational purposes and does not represent anything that the poster known as "Old Dog" actually possesses, currently or in the past).

Look up your IP address and do a search. You might be surprised what you find. I personally don’t bother to dig deep enough to find that but it can be done.
Metadata imbedded in photos can also give GPS coordinates.
