Lets talk 22s

I'm currently working on a crazy furniture project on a Savage Mark II .22lr. I don't have much to show of it yet, but I'm getting there. I'm using a factory plastic stock and adding various custom made kydex accessories of an.. uncommon variety... all to be finished with what should be an awesome paint job. I call it "The Mantis". I plan to do a big write up about it in the near future when it's complete. Keep an eye out for it :)

Hmm... 5 rifles huh?

1)Weatherby XXII Auto (hunting/plinking/target)
2)Mossberg 146B (hunting/plinking/target)
3)Mossberg 144 LSB (target/competition)
4)Winchester 52 (target/competition)
5)Anschutz 64 MPR (.17HMR for varmints)

I own all of these rifles but 1, the Anschutz. And soon I hope to own one of those too.

CZ makes AR uppers?
Not CZUB but CZ Brno. (Previously related under Checkoslavakia but since seperated under Czech Republic.)

And the Brno .22’s are excellent - the Model 1, produced at the end of WWII as a training rifle, through the Model 5 of the early 70s are very much sought after. My Model 1 is as accurate as all my CZs.

Just one in three calibers

I just need one rifle the Ruger 77/22 in all 3 calibers of .22. I own the .22 WMR and wouldn't trade it for a Henry or a Marlin even a 39.

Sojournerhome: It started life as a 10/22. New barrel, stripped epoxy, completely polished and reworked internals and a new stock later, there you have it. The stock is a Revolution Tundra painted with automotive paint. Very hard and holds up well. Fully bedded with some special pressure tuning tricks.

Very accurate little rifle.

Rifle:

Lever: Browning BL-22 field grade II with octagon barrel

Bolt: Weatherby Mark XXII with Leupold scope

Semi: Volquartsen Superlite Model 10/22 with Eotech Holosight

Single Shot: Mossberg 620K "Chukster" (I know it's a mag but I really, really NEED one)

Wallhanger: Albany County Wyoming Winchester 94 (pic's below)
abgw94.gif

Man Fun: Tactical Innovations 10/22 Gatling

Ok, I know it's six, but come on man, only 5? You're kidding right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pistol:

Smith and Wesson Model 617 with 8 3/8" barrel and 10-shot cylinder

Old Model Ruger Single Six convertible with 6.5" barrel

High Standard High Sierra w/octagon barrel and gold accents (it's the mag thing again, sorry)

Ruger MKII with Tac Sol Pac Lite unfluted 8.5" barrel in blue, matching Tac Sol grips in blue and Eotech Holosight

Savage Model 101

Mossberg Brownie

I am sure these lists could easily triple in size if I were really allowed to, but I did my best at keeping the LR stuff at 5 and had to throw in a magnum or two as well.

Me either, but I traded mine in on a CZ 452 Lux about six years ago. :D

CZguy

I like the 452, shot plenty of them, but I cant get them to group like my Ruger. Guess I am stuck with what I got.:D Plus there isn't a single CZ dealer in 50 miles.:banghead: Cause then I would have to re-evaluate my perdicament.

Well Tuck of course! In fact that is the very first ghost flame stock he ever painted after joining RFC.com. :D

Noid - can you supply a link where I can see bigger/better pics of that levergun?
