The states are steadily removing barriers to law abiding citizens carrying guns, so the current anti-2nd Amendment administration and DOJ came up with Operation F&F to justify more federal restrictions.

Before the operation blew up in their faces with the killing of a border patrol officer with weapons supplied to the drug cartels by the BATFE, the anti-gun crowd was already publishing statistics about the flow of guns from the US into Mexico. The stories stopped when Operation Fast and Furious was exposed.

Had it gone undiscovered, the results of Operation F&F (statistics and photos of captured weapons) would have been used to justify harsh restrictions at the federal level on gun ownership in America.

The 'tracking of weapons to their end-users' is a desperate spin, and the BATFE is using the Washington Post and NY Times to publish a false story.

I want to know whether the president approved of the operation.

He took an oath to obey and defend the constitution.

The illegal "Operation Fast and Furious" has already borne the intended fruit.

The increase of firearms purchased in America and ending up in Mexico (via the BATFE operation) resulted in the Justice Dept burdening gun store owners with additional paperwork and reporting requirements in the four border states.

This must be reversed. Call your reps and senators.

This gun running operation by the Obama administration reminds me of a little operation back in 1933 and it involved burning the Reichstag down and setting up the communist party to take the blame. Only this time it seems logical to me that Obama and his underlings would set this up to inflate the numbers of straw gun buying to increase more gun control laws that only hurt the legal citizens of America.

There is no proof of your initial assertion.

He has a hypothesis for which he has presented no proof. Do you have a better hypothesis?

The "theory" is most certainly correct. There is no other explanation for such an il-conceived and boneheaded plan. This administration is complicit in agent Brian Terry's death.

No proof ? Did you read my Post # 3. Knowing that the increase in American-bought guns found in Mexico was a result of Op F&F, the BATFE still forced upon the four border states additional long gun reporting requirements.

Unfortunately for F&F most of the US guns found that made it to the cartels went via our Central American Allies in the drug war. [/facepalm]
