Anybody tried out the Leupold Mark AR series? I'm having a hard time deciding which scope to put on my first AR15. They come in 1.5-4x and 3-9. Does anybody have any advice on which would be better to put on my AR? I plan on using a Larue LT-104 mount with Magpul MBUS. I mostly shoot targets around 100 yards but want to be able to shoot further.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Someone asked this last week my reply:

The mark 2's and mark AR's are just VX-II's playing dress up, not anywhere near a good deal. If you want to go with Leupold stick with the mark 4's, either the MRT or the CQB/prismatic models for mid range shooting. The MRT is setup for the 5.56 ballistics.

You know what I took a closer look at them and I see they appear to be a VX-II but cheaper than the regular VX-II and have the same coatings so hey if you want a Leupold go for it. I actually give Leupold kudos for lowering their prices while others are raising theirs due to the weakening dollar. If you want alternatives for around the same or less money here are some:
