Leopold TMR reticle, has assigned values at various magnifications. Does this mean it is MORE useful in a 2ndFP set-up than FFP? Get more capability for $500 less?

hehe. Thanks guys, yea. But here in Canada there's some silly rules and we can't get the good scopes how we want them. Can't get FFP Leupold 8-25, it's not allowed for export, can't get Nightforce with zero-stops, those aren't allowed, etc etc.
And with further circumspection my original interpretation of the reticle may have been wrong, perhaps the spacing of the hash marks can still only be read at the ranging magnification setting, and it's just the width of the lines that varies between models.

I guess if we can't guarantee they won't be re-exported, and they are considered an improvement over what's currently available, it's not illogical. And we really can't guarantee they won't leave our country, and they technically are improvements, so what-ya gonna do.
But some top-notch guys with public budgets chose Nightforce over that exact Leupold so I guess what's available isn't half bad anyway.

I suppose that knowing what all those marks are for would make it less complicated and confusing.
