Searched first with no luck. Looking at purchasing a Leupold Vxr patrol for my Marlin x7 in .243. Have a 6x18 cheap Tasco on it now but would like some better glass. Anybody running this scope with success?
Not at all. while I don't have the 3-9 I have their Fire Dot tactical milling on the 2-7 and it is just right. my Patrol 1-4 has the SPR reticule which is heavier
I'm running one on an AR. See here.http://www.thehighroad.org/showpost.php?p=9228372&postcount=9 Nice glass. Not as good as a VX-3. Dot is small and unobtrusive. Reticle is tidy. Power button is sticky, almost like it's being held in by the vacuum. Not sure I'd buy another.
I have a VXR 4-14x40 on my deer rifle and VX-3's on my CZ .204 and CZ .22. They are incredible. Glass is extremely crisp and clear. Low light performance is exceptional.
Thanks all who replied. I went ahead and purchased it. Fairly happy thus far. Haven't got to mount it yet due to no gun shops around having the rings and bases I want.
