Lew Horton's for My 686

I just got some Lew Horton's ( grips ) for My 686-1 yesterday , man they are sweet.

Lew Horton"s huh? S&W made those grips. They were used on some Lew Horton models but Lew Horton had nothing top do with the grips.

They are Smith & Wesson "combat grips" and, in N-frame form like yours, currently sell for $200 and up when in nice condition.

I still can't believe I was dumb enough to give away maybe 3 or 4 sets of those back in the 80s/90s when S&W put them on so many new round butts. I hated them. On a hot day when your hands are sweating those grips are like trying to hold on to a really pissed off greased hog. I love nice wood grips but give me checkering or give me neoprene. I cannot believe what people are paying for those on Ebay. Oh well.

Actually, it's an L-frame, but it's still true those grips aren't cheap. That dash-one is awesome all by it's self, but those grips make it gorgeous. That's some nice figuring. Did you hand select those, or did you just get lucky?

I wondered what you talking about ( N Frame ) , I just am a sucker for nice wood combat grips no matter the frame size.
