LG405 vs 105 for M&P 360

I recently bought a M&P 360 (Love it!!). I'm thinking about buying CT grips for it. Has anyone compared the LG405 against the 105? Does the 405 make that much difference with recoil? -- Plus, do they add any width or weight compared to the Hogue Bantam grips they came with? Thanks for any help.

Go with the 405s. I bought the 305 grips with my 637 four years ago, before the 405 came out, and I must tape the web between thumb and palm before shooting fifty rounds at the range. That is right where the 404s have that little shock absorber. The only advantage the 105s have is price. They are hard-cast plastic and will pass each and every ounce of ouch directly to your hand.

The CT is a great tool for training and personal defense. If you simply cannot afford the 405s the benefit of the laser is worthwhile but....

Plus one on Jack's commentary. Get the 405s. I have them on two J frames and like them a great deal. I would get a set of Hogue Monogrips or the Bantams temporarily until I could afford the 405s.

It isn't just affordability that I was wondering about (altough saving $50 is a plus :~)), I was also wondering if the LG405 are wider or weightier and if the rubber makes them cling more in your pocket, as this will be a pocket gun more tham anything else. -- Thanks,

A) Just slightly narrower. But I don't really remember, my 340 came with the 405s and the 642 boot grips came off so long ago I have no memory of them.
B) Hard to judge, miniscule and virtually impossible to detect.
C) No.

Again the big thing is point shoot accuracy and the felt recoil reduction provided by the rubber cushion and the air gap in the backstrap area.

The 405s are narrower than the stock grip, and maybe slightly less "clingy," although negligible. I found the stock grip more comfortable to hold, as it is fatter, but the 405 definitely makes it more comfortable to shoot! (and slightly easier to conceal, actually)

I paid extra to get the S&W branded version of the 405s. They MSRP is the same, but you have to buy them from Smith, so they aren't discounted...
