Hello everybody. I am in the market for a safe and my budget allows up to $1500.00. I am looking at the fat boy jr safe and was hoping for some input from the forum. Any experience with this brand and or model?
Thanks in advance!!

I sell 'em, an for an RSC (residential security container*), it can't be beat.
It holds a lot of firearms, has a security and fire rating, and is priced right.

*FootNote- as our experts here will tell you, KNOW ITS LIMITITATIONS;
as its not a real SAFE. A real safe that size, probably would cost upwards
of 3 grand <> a few dollars~! :uhoh: :)

From a insurance standpoint, a box with 1/4" plate walls and a 1/2" plate door is the entry level to the realm of safes.

There are lots of "safes" that do not fit this criteria. They all look like safes, but don't offer the protection that real safes do.

coebam, using the search feature should give you a good bit of info. I see that solidheart's other posts are all in threads about safes, so that's at least three more, right there. :) No idea if fat boys are mentioned, though.

Fort knox is the best constructed RSC on the market in my opinion. They have a lot of customizable options to design your safe at different levels of security. They can get pricier than other safes but you get what you pay for. They are also the only safe manufacturer that I know of to give a lifetime warranty on every single part of the safe including the electronic lock or combo lock. (which ever the consumer prefers).

When shopping for a RSC go by weight to determine how to get the most bang for your buck. ;)
