Oh Hi Oh
I recently purchased a 325PD and plan to carry it when hiking and camping. This means that over time it will be exposed to extremes of heat, cold, and probably sweat from time to time. I'd also plan to give it a lot of range time. Wouldn't you know it, the other day at the range another shooter who was looking at my gun told me not to expect too much life from the gun if I plan to shoot it a lot, and that the ultra-lights (scandium and titanium) are effected by extreme cold. Now I've heard a lot of plain weird "facts" and info from salesman and "experts" at the range. No matter how ridiculous they sound, I always begin to wonder....

So, anyone with scandium and titanium guns out there who've heard similar factoids. I do know of one case of, if I recall correctly a 629, going kaboom. I suppose this is a heck of time for me to ask, after buying the 325.

Thanks

Carried a lot and shot very little really means that the handgun is not real comfortable to shoot over extended sessions. Nothing is said of it's actual durability.
As to it's ability to withstand cold, since it is designed as a concealed handgun to be worn close to the body it will get no colder than you.
Just chuckle at the stories and enjoy your revolver.

BTW....It was the recalled PC M329 that would blow the barrel off.

325PD is a great gun. I've got over 2k rounds through mine and it still looks like new. I'm not sure what life span you have in mind, but I'm confident you'll get your $600 worth out of it, long before it needs a rebuild.

Good Luck...

Joe
