Hi guys! I have a new Remington 1100 Tactical shotgun that has proven it's reliability. I want to go ahead and get a high quality weapons light for it. I am pretty well set on the CDM MOD-C mount but choosing a light is frankly overwhelming me.

I have no experience with weapon lights so want to keep it as simple as possible. No strobes, no lasers, ideally only one power setting. I just want to be able to turn the damn light on or off and perhaps also have a momentary pressure ability.

This will be mainly for apartment home defense but I travel to rural areas and stay there for extended periods so a light with a decent amount of reach would be nice.

Cost doesn't matter, I am looking for a top quality and rugged weapons light for my 1100. I have heard Surefire is a good brand.

Please recommend me a weapons light. Thanks!

I used gun with a barrel/mag clamp that had a rail on it. He had a Surefire Scout 500 with a pressure pad switch. I think he just used black permatex to glue it to the stock. Worked really well.
