Hi,
I have a Charter2000 Bulldog Pug (.44 spec) that light strikes during double action fire (about 1 round per 5). I tried different ammo and that's not the problem. It never fails during SA fire, just during DA fire. I hollowed out the grips some after hearing that recommendation for charter revolovers, but it still light-strikes.
I really like the size/weight/power/accuracy of this gun, but I can't trust it for CCW, it's intended purpose. I am headed to a gunshow tomorrow and was going to try to sell or trade it, but figured I'd post up here to see if anyone has any ideas before I parted with it.
I thought it might help if I replaced the mainspring but I haven't found any aftermarket springs, and the new-in-box stock spring doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas or experience would be appreciated.
