I would definitely go with the 243 if you are primarily hunting deer and antelope. From what I have read and seen the 6.5 Lapua is a great round but I think I have only ever seen one box of ammo for it before.

I'm a reloader but I also am a multi occurance victim of old Mr Murphy and his antics. I think having an easily found round outways any benefit the Lapua has over it.
