Help,

since I put a cheap Leapers fixed 4 X scope on my Marlin 336, it (or me, or WE) shoot less than 1" groups at 100 yrds.
I am very impressed, always knew the micro groove barrel was accurate but not like that.

Now I wonder if there is a way to reduce the trigger pressure, it is somewhat hard and unpredictable.

Can't wait to try out Hornady's new pointed bullets in 30/30.

I've had similar experience with my Marlin (Sears) 336 .30-.30, really surprised me that little rifle could consistently do 1-inch groups, should be even better with the new Hornady polymertip loads.

That's a big +1 for the Wild West trigger. Such an improvement it makes you wonder why Marlin couldn't get it right to start with.

Another plug for the WWG trigger. After I installed mine I took it down to the local smith. His eyes got big when he tried it. :D

It also eliminates the "floppy" trigger common to the Marlins. WWG instructions say it's a "gunsmith fit" part but I think that's just CYA--I've never heard of anyone who had to do anything other than just install it.

I actually had to narrow the trigger body (not the trigger itself) to get it to fit into the gun--but it was just a bit of sanding, I don't think it would have intimidated anyone.
