This has come up in multiple other threads. I pointed this out and was immediately challenged to prove that Freedom Arms actually warns against using Lil’Gun in loads with their wheelguns.

Here’s a note attached to a YouTube video from Handloader Magazine about reloads for the 454 Casull:

I use Lil’Gun for .22 Hornet loads but that’s for a single shot rifle. Does anyone know of another company that warns against Lil’Gun?

<smdh> Here we go again. Note the explanation, note the terms used. Again, there has NEVER BEEN A SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE EVER PRESENTED THAT LIL GUN PRODUCES MORE EROSION THAN ANY OTHER HIGH NITRO CONTENT POWDER. Read that carefully. A couple of times. Why are you insisting on beating a dead horse? Over a decade, my offer still stands......let's see some proof. Otherwise rehashing the same tired rhetoric does nobody any good.

You are repeating what was stated by a single individual (whom I'll not name) many years ago, and never followed up and no proof was ever provided or documented. Carefully research who made the original claim, and then source your statement above...it's actually almost funny.

As I've stated over and over and over......I'll gladly reverse my stance the minute somebody provides proof...until then you are just another "I heard it on the internet so it must be true".

I’m NOT convinced either so I too am looking for evidence that backs up FA warning.

Evidently FA made to effort to reach out to Handloader and ask them to print that warning. Why they insist on it, I do not know?

But I was challenged to produce concrete evidence that FA makes the claim and here it is.

I shot 15 grains of lilgun with a 180 xtp in my pistol today. 5 rounds total. Yes it's hot, just like tightgroup. I absolutely believe that generating heat like that will cause throat erosion. It's not a range load to me, it's a max speed hunting load, chosen for reduced peak pressure. This is a practical science game, bring knowledge.
