Hey fellas how we doing.
I ordered 700 110gr hp bullets and have a solid load for those.
I'm mid way through loading 250 130grhp, 160 147fmj pulled, and 170 150grsp using IMR-4227 @ 17.3 to 17.8 gr my load data mentioned nothing about compressed and it's not packed but the bullet in most cases meets the powder kinda packs it a tad.
Anything to worry about? I have no ability to test as all the Califorina ranges are closed.
A lil reassurance is always helpful.
Thanx

It's not unusual with 300 BLK, unless it is interfering with bullet seating, I wouldn't worry about it.

300 blkout has such little case capacity that it’d be hard to over charge. Not saving it can’t be down, just hard.

Ive loaded some 150 grain projectiles up and when playing with seat depth compressed a couple. They were actually really promising accuracy wise. I plan to do a few more test with them.

I can't imagine loading up 600 rounds of ammo without any prior testing. I recently had to change the seating depth on Nosler 125 grain ballistic tips to longer than published specs to get them to feed properly in my 300 Blackout. As far as the compression is concerned, it seems to be common in the caliber, but why assume it works for a particular application?

Thank you for the piece of mind. When loading so many untested loads just keep thinking about the trouble pulling them apart. I figured would be fine and overcharging not likely. It was just the max charge would be definitely compressed but not noted in the Hogdon load data.
Thanxs

Would make me nervous too. The only thing worse than having to pull a round, is having to pull hundreds of them.

I only start with 5 of each in different powder weights to see how they perform. Won’t do more that that until I find a powder/bullet combo that shows promise. Then I’ll load more of the best load for further testing.
