This is the first shotgun question that I have asked on this forum (or any other)

Does anyone know about Linberta shotguns? It is Turkish made and available in either pump or automatic. Turkish made handguns have been a very good value as of late. Many are reverse engineered and are extremely well made clones for half the price.

What has been your experience with their shotguns, and with the Linberta line in particular?

Thanks much

I too am curious as to the quality of these guns. Buds gun shop has some info on them, but as usual, I take things with a grain of salt when people are trying to sell me something. However, being in the market for a HD shotgun, these did get my attention....

After watching the import firearms market for a couple of decades, the best advice I can offer is to buy a current production shotgun from an established American manufacturer if you want to avoid trouble in the long run and have barrels/parts/accessories available.

If you consider it a disposable shotgun to be used 'as is', go for it...

I see they say they've been making shotguns since the early '80s. I'm still looking at the company because I've never heard of them. Maybe they made another brand?

I read a couple of reviews and a couple of purchaser's early reactions. There just doesn't seem to be any real track record.

I like the blurb on Bud's site:

"Today, even champion shooters use Linberta with total confidence in their equipment. All Over/Under models come with large bore technology for near perfect grouping."

Me again, read post #45 - the one by poster Linberta. :)

http://dcshooters.com/showthread.php?t=89522&page=3

He gives a little info on who makes what for whom in Turkey.

"But the ones coming to USA , Weatherby made by ATA shotguns Turkey, Escort-Hatsan made, Stoeger - Old Vursan bought by Beretta in Turkey - Mossbergs buys from couple pepople, S&W bought a lot, H&R ,EAA from Sarsilmaz , Tristar from Armsan , CZ from Huglu Koop., Winchester&Browning group from Istanbul (they buy parts and maybe some shotguns too) . . . in a very larger quantites. Our Shotguns made in Huglu Village in Turkey not by Huglu - CZ. There are some companies in Huglu like Huglu Koop. (CZ) , B.Huglu- Linberta, Best Huglu, Celik Huglu...etc etc. List goes on. But some of them exports to USA like Huglu Koop and Linberta by B.Huglu."

Okay, now to go look for B.Huglu info.

John

P.S. - The more I read that thread the more I learn. The poster moved to the U.S. when he was 15 and he's now 35. They've built guns (or had them built? I dunno) for other companies.

Post #51 - "We always made shotguns for big companies for last 15 years range. Let me give you one example, we made Gazelle Arms over under shotguns for Century arms . We worked with EAA, Tristar arms, and others that i can't disclose here too much. Now it is time to bring our own brand to life. Since i am living in USA for sometime , it took time to establish warehouse and distribution centers, branding , planning etc etc."

Thanks guys

I am sure that fellas English is much better than my Turkish, but man...it is really hard for me to follow exactly what he is saying!!

I do know for a fact that some of the Turk handguns are really good values (as I have previously stated). I have a Turk made Beretta 92f clone that is probably my favorite handgun. (100% parts interchangable)

If someone finds out some more info on these please let me know.

Thanks much
