I've had the 386 for about a week and finaly got it to the range today. Lots of fun to shoot. Ran about 100 rounds of UMC 130gr. .38SPL and 50 rounds Winchester 125gr. JHP .357Mag. Recoil of the magnum rounds is not nearly as bad as I was expecting. Very snappy but nothing I would call painfull. Accuracy seems as good as any of my other S&W revolvers save the 610. Not sure I'm crazy about the hi-viz/v-notch sight setup. It seems a little inprecise and not really any faster.

The Black Widow has lived in my pocket for abuot 2 years now, gets shot every trip to the range and probably has a few thousand rounds through it now. Quite the little workhorse.

Have you been happy with the Black Widow as a pocket gun? I have been thinking real hard about getting one. I normally carry a S&W 642 (.38 special). Great gun, but more and more I find the weight, although not a lot, to be a bit of a pain. I have also looked hard at the Kel-Tec P-3AT, but i am really unsure of the "reliability" of this firearm. I am a revolver lover, and the thought of an auto makes me uneasy. Also, I am a south paw so the P-3AT may not be the best.

Thanks

I'm very happy with the Black Widow. Like I said a few thousand rounds
through with no problems at all.

If you get one stick with the BW model it has the best sights - low profile drift adjustable for windage(I added a set screw to mine). Don't believe anyone who says these little guns can't shoot. Good sights are worth having.

The extra .22LR cylinder is a must have for cheap practice. I also keep mine loaded in my pocket like a speedloader. Notice the little kydex "hat" on it in the picture to keep the rounds in and lint out.

Just FYI- .22WMR out of a 2" barrel is loud. Not quite .357 loud but easily as loud as a .40S&W. Not a bad little fireball either.
