Ordered LNL AP last night. Just hope I dont have the same problem some have had with the drive hub breaking. Luckly Hornady has good customer service though. Was tough to find the #10 shell plate anywhere that was not on backorder. The press was on sale at Midway but was also on backorder. Thanks to the IRS taking forever sending refunds I had to wait. I ordered from Cabelas and received free shipping through a promo code that ends at midnight today I believe. 7FREE is the promo code if anyone is interested. I think anything over $50 dollars but am not positive. Wish me luck on the drive hub.

The hub on these things is NOT easy to break, 1" dia machined steel with a 3/8" threaded hole down the middle.

They have had a bad run of the hubs. It gets pulled apart right in the middle on the down stroke with rifle rounds.

I am still learning the tricks of the press, but man It amazes me how much ammo you can pump out on these things. All I need now is the case feeder!

You have to watch for the 35,000 to 35,500 serial numberd LNL with breaking the hub.If your above or below that,you shouldn't have any problems,
One hint with the #8 shellplate,certain brands of 9mm case don't fit the plate very good and you'll notice they don't sit down on the ram plate.When your running them they will always be hanging and crooked.I called Hornady asking about that,they know about it but said its the variances in brass. I don't see why the plate slots couldn't be opened up a few thou. I use my #10 plate for them.I don't remember which brands they are,I believe some Fed and PMC,but not sure.

Congrats, You will enjoy your LNL-AP. Don't be in such a hurry that you skips steps during the setup/assembly. Go slow at first. Only go all stations full once your sure every thing is set correctly. They can produce a lot of good ammo fast as well as bad if there is a problem.
Mine is over 4 yrs now, I added the brass feeder after 1 yr. Take the time and follow the setup to the TEE. There are some critical settings that need to be done to the Primer Sled rod that controls the pickup and indexing. With small base brass the flatter/tighter it sets on the base the better. If you have a wide gap between the shell plate and base it will cause the brass to tilt, which causes alignment problems.

1 full year with my LNL AP now, and man i love it. I wish I ordered it sooner. Its great to be able to pump out my handgun ammo so fast once its set up. Just last night, i did 1,000 rounds of 40S&W cause I realized I only had about 100 rounds loaded... Enjoy the press, learn its quirks and you will be good.
When you are going to order from a site for i.e. Cabelas, Basspro, and Midway USA just google promo code for that site. Usually they have something.
Man, you're gonna love that thing. I "accidently" loaded up 300 rounds of 9mm while getting it initially setup. Watching a progressive work is good times. And you get lots of ammo out of it too. I lasted about 3 weeks before I ordered the case feeder, and that speeds you up a lot, and now I have budget bullet feeders for 9mm and .40. Then it is down to keeping all the supplies topped up and pulling a handle. If you have a reloading buddy that like to load primer tubes, buller tubes, and brass while you work the handle and check the work, you can really crank out some ammo. And yes, their CS is awesome. Make sure you send in the warranty card, and they will send you anything you ask for, no questions asked. (at least so far, and I have even admitted to them that I have broken stuff) Enjoy!!

Man, that would be the dream. I tried to get my wife, who shoots with me and owns a couple guns to help me by doing those things when I'm reloading. Somehow, she's always got something more important to do, like cooking supper, cleaning the house, washing my clothes, etc. I wish I had a male shooting buddy within reasonable driving distance. One of the negatives of life around Atlanta, GA. Everybody is spread out and you gotta drive 45 minutes to do anything.

Got bored with it and decided to sell it (It was an early one and was getting long in the upgrade "tooth.") and buy an RCBS Pro 2000. Wishing right now I'd bought a newer LnL with all the bells and whistles.

On rotors & metering inserts use non chlorinated brake cleaner (do not use on rubber seals).
On hopper use HOT soapy water. DO NOT RINSE the hopper & tube, let air dry.
You are good to go and will not have any issue with static charges.
For ultimate reliability I pulled the hopper tube, sanded paint off inside and polished with dremel. No powder sticks and drops reliably

I sucked it up and used the Hornady cleaner, and dry lube. At 10 bucks a can I cringed at every spray but I have had no problems getting the grease off. When I change powders I use the air compressor to ensure that all of the residue is removed. It is a little bit of a chore to clean out during a powder change. I also take a dryer sheet and the primer rod and swirl it around before the compressor and it keeps static down and cleans some of the residue out as well. Hope this helps.

You can use brake cleaner to remove all of the packing oil, just keep it away from plastic.
