Seems like an excellent idea. Have there been any threads on how well it functions?

In the discussion in the thread linked here, it was noted the website went down. That's why I posted the new one.

I bought one and it seems to work as advertised. That is, I installed it tonite, reloading 9mm, and lo and behold, it belled the cases using my powder measure!

I only reloaded about 50 rounds with it, but it worked. First time I had everything set up as I wanted: LNLPTX in powder measure, RCBS lockout die checking loads, taper crimp die in last station.

I posted in the other thread, but I wonder if it will work with the old style powder measure with the angled spring?

I can personally vouch for Dan's new PTX. I was skeptical 'cause the hornady version I was using worked fine for me. I shoot FMJ in .40s&w mostly. I bought one 'cause if I ever start loading other calibers this one will do them all instead of having to buy each one for more money from Hornady.

Low & behold this new PTX is awesome! I've loaded a couple thousand rounds with it and it is an improvement for me in two ways. First, it's much smoother. It doesn't stick like the Hornady version. Second, it works the brass less because of a much better method of flaring the case.

Turns out, for me it was a matter of not knowing how bad the Hornady version was till I tried Dan's PTX. It was money well spent. I love mine.
